Sleepover memories

One last LOAD 212 Counterfeit layout to share.

This layout was crated with leftovers from my kit, November Glory, which was the trickiest to use even though I really liked the individual items in it. But when I opened the box, I decided that there was too much still to break up the kit and challenged myself to make one more layout.

I did my usual of just cutting and sticking and not worrying too much about what goes where and it was coincidence that the colour in the photos matched the background. It's not going into my favourite ever layout pile but all in all, I ended up quite pleased with fluttering butterflies and the mini cluster at the top.

The LOAD prompt was to scrap a favourite memory and when my eyes fell on these photos, memories of sleepovers with my sister came flooding back. We'd squeeze up in my bed with hot chocolate and a bedtime story before going top and tail for the rest of the night. I'm sure that neither of us slept well, but it was such a special Saturday night treat!

And with that, another kit bit the dust! After February's LOAD I now have my mini-Halloween kit which will be tucked into my Halloween drawer for whenever I get the idea to scrap some scary photos, and one partially used up Scrapagogo kit from 2010 if you can believe it which I am about to break up because I can't see it any more. Which means that I am officially kit free until I make my new one for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge tomorrow.

Don't forget to come back here on Tuesday for the Design Team blog hop kit reveal.

  1. Kit free . . . I can't even imagine how that feels. Well done, Lisa.

  3. Love the photos - there was something special about sharing a bed(room) as a child - I remember many a midnight feast with cousins way back when!
