November at Scrapabilly #2
November's Scrapabilly Kit des Monats features Jen Hadfield for Pebbles, Warm & Cozy collection. Gorgeous! The papers include a stunning rose-gold foiled leaf outline on white design along with lots of neutrals and a cut apart sheet. The die-cut pack was full of gorgeous elements again featuring the rose-gold foil and the chunky set of rose-gold Thickers made my happiness complete. There was also a shet of washi paper strips.
The next layout I'd like to share is the only one that is specifically about autumn. I think I might have used these photos before (the downside to being album challenged and not knowing what I've already made!) but the layout makes me happy and I used a die cut wreath that I'd downloaded a month or so ago. To be honest, I have no idea where it came from so I can't credit it I'm afraid but it's gorgeous and perfect for this page. I clustered up some of the leaves with gold thread and kept everything simple and white.
This was one of those "just want to make it" layouts - pretty with not a lot of story.
I used foam dots to give the background die cut some dimension and texture. This gives subtle definition to the white on white effect.
Some gold and chocolate mist just finishes it off.
Thanks for dropping by today and I'll be back in a couple of days with the last of my two layouts.
Check out the kit here on the Scrapabilly site and don't forget to check out the Design Team gallery here while you're there. I love looking at the gallery to see all the different ideas we've come up with. You can also find the Schnick Schnack Sack (embellishments) and the Pretty Planner Pack kits and galleries there too. So much to discover and so much inspiration to be had.

Bad blogger catch up #2
Ha ha! Bet you are surprised to see me back here again aren't you? Well, I did say that I would try to get back here with my November round up (just in time for me to do a December round up!) and then maybe tomorrow or Friday, I'm planning to share some scrapping that I've been doing over at Whimsical Musings.
November is a birthday month in our house but we were both struck down with a horrible winter cold and our special days ended up like a damp squib. A total write off :-( But I did manage to find some photos to represent the better side of the month...
November 2011 was the best November, weather-wise, that I can ever remember. And I'm including my November spent in the South of France back in 1986 and Manila in 1997. It was glorious with blue skies most days and not a single day of rain. Mornings were filled with dew covered spider webs and low, late, colourful sunrises. I was in heaven.
I got beautiful, bright, happy flowers for my birthday which helped compensate for the fact that I was as sick as a parrot:
The Christmas Markets opened and I enjoyed my first Poffertjes of the season:
We all stopped for a moment on 11.11.11 and I made sure I recorded the moment:

It was warm, sunny and like the most perfect autumn of my imagination, even on my birthday. I had the most perfect weather birthday in history:

And I made sure there was a bit of time for scrapping and my current banner obsession:
Last but not least, my personal bar keeper kept the cocktails flowing to help chase away the runny nose blues:
And that was November. Now that I'm caught up, maybe I can keep this going from here on.
Thanks Deb for this great idea - perhaps I should lift the photos and journalling for monthly layouts to support my 12 on 12s. Now there's a thought... ;-)

Hello sunshine... we've missed you
Sunshine all day. Blue skies and long shadows.
What a lovely surprise after so many weeks of clouds and grey, damp weather.
I'm not ready for winter to be over (you know me, loving the cold weather!) but I love to see signs of spring around the corner.
Isn't nature amazing?
I just hope that the next cold snap that is bound to come before the end of winter doesn't harm all this wonderful new growth.
On the creative front, LOAD is underway and I am having such a good time and I am creating wonderful (if I say so myself!) layouts that tell some of the stories that have been calling me and using up photos and stash and memorabilia. It feels good.
I will be posting LOAD layouts later this week, but in the meantime, how about a few sneak peeks of some magazine layouts that I had lots of fun creating recently?
Happy Monday!
