October at Scrapabilly #1

Well, now that I'm up to date on sharing all my September makes, I think it's time to move on to October. Crazy how the year is running out, isn't it?

October's Scrapabilly Kit des Monats is just gorgeous - yes, I know I say that every month! - and full of Simple Stories "Posh" collection which was very much my style.

There's lots of wonderfully on-trend platinum elements on the papers and the die cuts which are included in the kit. A gorgeous set of Pink Paislee alphas, of which I need more!, and a mini alpha too make this very versatile. I also added in a few of the Posh collection extras to my kit just because!

Enamel dots, brad stickers, clips and the alpha/sticker sheet, as well as one or two extra sheets of cut-apart papers. But honestly, while it's lovely to sprinkle some enamel dots here and there across my papers, there are enough die-cuts included in the kit to make up loads and loads of pretty projects. I'm just greedy!

I managed a healthy six layouts with my kit and still have plenty of bits and bobs.

Here's my first and I was inspired by something I'd seen online but just in passing so I don't have any credits to give on the designer. Anyway, I was happy to get the sewing machine out and working on the lines of the papers to record this perfect moment one sunny afternoon recently.

I love to layer up several of the die-cut elements to make a meaningful (to me) embellishment cluster. The return of the loopy gold thread made me happy.

This layout records a few impressions from a wine festival I recently attended in a small town on the Rhine, Bad Dürkheim. It's the largest wine festival in the world apparently and after testing some of the many different wines on offer, I can confirm that it's all delicious!

Again, I was inspired by something I'd seen online to make up these small pockets full of sequins and can't give direct credit. I don't pin everything that I like or my Pinterest board would be bursting at the seams but the ideas stay in my mind for when I'm creating!

Check out the kit here on the Scrapabilly site and don't forget to check out the Design Team gallery here while you're there. I love looking at the gallery to see all the different ideas we've come up with. You can also find the Schnick Schnack Sack (embellishments) and the Pretty Planner Pack kits and galleries there too. So much to discover and so much inspiration to be had.

Back soon with more shares!

  2. I look forward to seeing your work with these kits, although most of the time I end up buying some of the pieces myself - I can't resist after seeing what you've made. Love all the stitching on that first page. Time consuming I'm sure but definitely worth it. Your second page has a fun and festive look, perfect for a wine festival.
