Sketches, layouts and cards

I'm not managing much scrapping right now so it's great that I have the Counterfeit kits and challenges to at least get me to my table from time to time. And the challenges make it all so easy. Win-win situation.

This time around we were asked to create a page and then use it as inspiration to make a card. Love this!

I headed over to Page Maps again and found a super cute sketch (here) to use and off I went. Another old photo with not much of a story which gave me the chance to write a few private words and in a jiffy, my layout was made.

Next up came the card and I just took the basic parts of the layout and made a simple greeting card that will be perfect for a hello to a girlfriend sometime. Love having these types of cards just waiting for the right time.

  1. Oh super, super page - love that weird "bunting" at the top and the way your cosy photo is tucked up with all the lovely flowers and butterflies. Super card too - it's great to have a store of just for fun greetings cards on hand - beautiful!

  2. Oh I love these - I had those same two papers out on my island today and then set them aside. Love your stitching round and round! Girl, what you can manage with paper and pretties is just marvelous.

  4. Oh, what a beautiful layout! love the kraft bacground, which makes the dp and photo just pop up.
I also love the banner with the fan flowers.
And your card is adorable. it is really a good thing to have those cards just in hand when you really need them.
