I hope there's something in here to inspire you or maybe just make you smile.

We managed a small road-trip cross-country to Berlin. I've been once before when the Brandenburg Gate was hidden behind a facade, so it was top of my list of sights to visit this time around. I was thrilled with this shot of the iconic monument.

At the end of my {14 loves} July 2014, it was the evening of the FIFA World Cup final and we were all hoping that Germany would be victorious. They were. The feel good feeling is still to be found and we are all so very proud!

I haven't managed to participate in the Jingle Belles challenge for some time. The girls over there are the best inspiration around for getting ahead with all those Christmas cards. All I can say is, watch this space for a little festive something that I've been up to recently.

Another Berlin landmark that was just round the corner from our hotel and another on my list to capture. When we were there before, it was at the beginning of my digi photo days and certainly before my iPhone addiction. I had a lot of fun this time around making sure I captured some better photos.
As part of my de-cluttering, I sorted out some washi tapes and sent them along to my niece. She'd been most taken by my selection when I stayed there in May and I knew she'd have some fun sticking with abandon. I was right. Thanks to my sister for this shot.

I was scanning some of my old Philippine photos recently for a DT page and this one just took me right back to Pukka Beach on Boracay back in 1998. Seems like yesterday. Time flies.

Ongoing packing, packing, packing. Getting there. I'm excited for the move and for our new home.
Someone had their first day of school and was very, very excited. Although she was a little skeptical about what she could learn as she already knows her alphabet, her numbers and can read!
I've been enjoying working my way through old episodes of SATC recorded off Sky. I still love watching Carrie and the girls no matter how often I watch it.
The main reason we were in Berlin. Such a highlight for me to see this exhibition in the city where he lived for two years and which had such an influence on his music at that time. David Bowie is.... simply awesome.

The Scrapabilly August kit (here) featuring Webster's Pages Ocean Melody was a joy to use. Ocean Melody is one of the loveliest collections I've worked with in a long time. I made six pages I love and hope to get them onto the blog in the next few days. I ended up buying all the papers again so that I could continue making those feel-good pages.
I’d love you to share your own {14 loves} lists with me. Why not link up in the comments below?
I really enjoyed your photos of Berlin here. Great angles! I've never been, but it's on my list..
ReplyDeleteGreat snapshots, Lisa. And I was super-excited for a moment when I thought the sides of those boxes said USA. Turns out a bit of refocusing these old eyes revealed they said Lisa, with the LI running together. Good luck on the move - doesn't seem like that long ago you moved to your current spot.
ReplyDeleteMoving again? Oy vey.
ReplyDeleteLucky you to find that stash of gold doilies.
I have a niece also, who's eyes turned as big as saucers when she saw my washi collection. It was easy to deiced what to get her for her birthday, this year.
Lovely to catch up - good luck with the move (and the unpacking)!
ReplyDeleteAnother great 14 Loves post - I just love rereading them :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the exhibition - DH loved it when he went to London for it.
All those boxes, full of scrapbook pages?
It's lovely how you have somebody to offload your old bits to and the fact she appreciates them :)
Look forward to seeing those doilies on your future pages ...
Hey Lisa!
ReplyDeleteI couldnt find a contact button on your blog...could you please send me an email at alcojo94 at yahoo.com . I have a question for you :)
The photo of the Philippines really caught my eye, in those slightly retro colours ... and you are moving again? I must have missed this somewhere. You seem very organised!
