But I did create something more pared down than I would usually make and the sketch made this really quick to put together. I used up some of my never ending scraps (oh, when will my box ever empty???) and cut out a sentiment from this great CC paper and another card hits the pile.
Fall to layout #154 |
Happy Wednesday everyone! And just remember that there's only 14 weeks until the beginning of December - how many cards do you have all ready to post? Why not head over to Jingle Belles and get yourself ahead of the game?!?
it reminds me of those mints that you can only get from the states - very pretty
ReplyDeleteSuper card - has a really fun feel! Here's mine!
ReplyDeleteLisa, for someone who doesnt normally do CAS I think you did a fabulous job with this challenge! I love the paper you chose and Sarah is right, those images are an awful like the candy I love to eat at Christmas. Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteI onlyhave about 4 ready, and those I made at the start of the year, so yup, think I'll be heading over soon to play along. great inspiration from you :)
ReplyDelete14 weeks? I think I better get started then!
ReplyDeleteThis is another lovely one Lisa - it still has your pretty look about it :)
Oh, that's really pretty! And I'm with you on the never-ending scrap box. I always seem to end up with more than I start with :)
ReplyDeleteThat card is completely cute, and I was thoroughly enjoying your post until you mentioned 14 weeks. Yikes.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being our guest designer this month-love your work, can't wait to see your projects!
ReplyDeleteYou've been a constant reminder to me to start work on my Christmas cards. I think that I'll use old greeting cards (like in my recent project) as the base for this year's cards. I'll start soon, I promise ;)
ReplyDeletethats gorgeous, a case of less is more definitely :)
ReplyDeletelol my WV is BONEDUP!!!
So SO adorable! I love those peppermint candies & the repeated element looks FANTASTIC! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the card. It is adorable and I think it perfectly fits with the theme.
ReplyDeleteLOL, really cute card! :)
ReplyDeletewell, i have to say i disagree... i think you've really done quite brilliantly both with the sketch AND the C&S vibe! by limiting yourself to one pattern (admittedly a BOLD one!) it sort of ties everything together; simplifies & streamlines the design! on the other hand, i am not exactly a "minimalist" so would i KNOW, we ask ourselves??!?! :) :) :) whatever you call it, this is one *FAB* xmas card for sure!
ReplyDeleteps: when you start your "full and messy" sketch challenge blog can i be on the DT??!?!? :)
Peppermint Candy Swirls ... Oh what fun for sure ... love everything about this ... so glad you joined our jingle belles fun.
ReplyDelete"Oh what fun" indeed! Your candy swirls are lovely and the card flows perfectly.
