Did they dream this up just for me? It felt that way ;-)
I went to town with one of my "Fall In Love" papers and fussy cut a whole load of tropical flowers and leaves to match my Philippine photos and then layered up papers and a huge (even by my standards!) cluster. The white cardstock (added in to the kit) was the perfect bright backdrop to all these colours.
I know I shouldn't say things like this, but I LOVE this layout (I know, it sounds a bit boastful!). It really makes me happy and makes me realise that I have to get more of my Filipino stories onto my pages.
This is layout #4 from Fall In Love. (I promised the CKC girls that I'd get a better photo than this scan but, as much as I love this time of year, I'm struggling to catch the light to photograph layouts - so apologies for that.)
And this one is a fun, experimental one I made (#3) to see how "whimsical" I could go.
The answer is not all that much before it starts looking a little off!
But I am happy to use up this AC paper that was in my kit and also some of the chipboard die cuts too. I always struggle with these types of products. I added in a couple of the alphas for this multi-alpha, multi-coloured title.
In the future, I think I'll be sticking to the style I know :-)
This challenge certainly had your name on it, fabulous LO's. I love the first one, it's so pretty and all the journaling, perfect page.xxxx
ReplyDeleteWow - you've nailed this challenge - beautiful layering and clustering! You should be justifiably proud (even if you are a Brit!). I like the way you've used the houses in the second one too
ReplyDeleteLovely layering - I knew you wouldn't disappoint! (Although 3 stick pins, really?)
ReplyDeleteFabulous layouts! I love your photos and your layering style. I am glad that you love it, we should all be so in love with our layouts!!!!! Yay! xoxo

ReplyDeleteAhhh, you layout is beautiful. I envy you so with your layering embellishing. I'm really struggling with that concept. I'll have to sit down and study your layouts! Love the "city" layout. It's so fun!
ReplyDeleteI love them both....the delicate look of the first one (and all that cutting!) and the peppy colorful look of the second one :).
ReplyDeleteYou know how much I love a bit of handcutting - you have made such a lovely job of it here.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pages-especially that first one! I see why you love it, so soft and pretty! The second page is awesome too-bravo for trying something outside of your comfort zone!
ReplyDeleteThis ROCKS! Love the layering. Gorgeous
ReplyDeleteTotally see why you love it! That floral clustering is phenomenal. I like how you did something totally different in the second one.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, lush layering here Lisa - and I rather like the last one's graphic contrast to the other pages.
