Honestly, I can't tell you how happy I am that I decided to join in the fun way back in January. Of course, now I have to get them written and posted (another humungous hurdle!) but my pile of 60 cards is such a great relief. I love sending home-made cards for Christmas but when you have so many to make, there's not enough time to make them individually and last year I even ended up sending out a Christmas email instead ;-( This year I have more than I need. Now that feels great!
I'm going to get a photo of them all together as soon as I am home in daylight and get that posted here before I start writing them and getting them in the post.
But in the meantime, the prompt this week was "Candy Kisses" or rather food, sweets or drinks! Whatever we like to eat or drink at this time of year.
Seeing as though I couldn't make a Cadbury's chocolate card ;-) I went for my second favourite for this time of the year - a Starbucks Toffee Nut Latte. Oh, ok, I found a sweet cup of steaming coffee on my Cosmo paper and I imagine it to be a TNL!
And with that, I leave you so that I can go and stroke all those cards!
What's your top tip for making them quick to write but still interesting to receive?
Really, ONLY 60! Tsk tsk tsk!
ReplyDeleteGreat card Lisa ... it's been fun and I too will be a bit sad ... the thing is I like to make them but organising what to send to who and getting them ready to post ... Argh! not my favourite job!! Have a wonderful December and a great Christmas ... see you next year!
ReplyDeleteNice to hear its continuing next year, as I've enjoyed seeing your cards. Thank you for your recent kind comments, I'm back and blogging reading so look forward to seeing more of your creations
ReplyDeleteGorgeous last card, well done for keeping up with the challenge. I must try harder next year.xxx
ReplyDelete*60* cards and every single one of them is completely ♥FAB♥U♥LOUS♥ as well! how much do you *ROCK*??!?!?! (hint: it's a very very lot!)
ReplyDeletethis particular card is especially fun & festive--and a terrific version of the "candy kisses" theme! (tho i'd've liked to see the cadbury one, for that matter! ...mmMMmMmmm...) many thanks for all of your support & enthusiasm this year... not to mention the treat of seeing your cards every week! i cannot wait to see what you will make in 2012!!!
ps: i have no top tips for cool stuff to write INSIDE the cards, that is where i get lazy & just scribble, "lots of love, lauren & jeff"... but you are welcome to use that line, if it helps, lol!! :) :) :)
I'm so impressed that you kept up with this challenge - 60 cards done! I try to make mine but must admit that they are very much on the simple side - not like the fabulous cards you've done through the year. No useful advice about writing them except have a glass of port/sherry/something and some cheery music!
ReplyDeleteyahooooo for a coffee card:)
ReplyDeleteThat's a really good question! I do try to write an interesting message in each of mine and I do love to get a message instead of simply names in return. I think the advice above about having a glass of something nice while you write would probably help!
ReplyDeleteHoly Moly, 60 cards! Way to go! They have been lovely
ReplyDeleteLove the festiveness of your blog header :) I`m shocked you already received the card! Happy it got there and that you enjoyed it! Things are so crazy busy right now, I`m just trying to stay ahead of the game!
ReplyDeleteYay for a festive blog makeover! And a big *clap, clap, clap* round of applause for a year full of beautiful, handmade cards!
ReplyDeleteAwesome card!! And thanks for telling me about this challenge, I will definantly have to play next year!!
