This was a sweet challenge and one that was close to my recent ramblings over at Whimsical Musings about letters and handwriting and the importance of both.
Include a love letter on your layout to let that person know how much they mean to you. I love these kind of romantic gestures.
As my main kit, Record, isn't all *shock horror* pink and romantic, I chose to make a layout that doesn't look overly love themed, choosing a vellum envelope to house my "love letter". I like the way that you can see there's something handwritten inside but it's still private and hidden. I think I need to source more vellum - loving it so much right now!
A selection of little papers and photos randomly filling the grids of this super calender paper from KI and a twine loopy element was all that was needed to finish this off.
Letter writing is so therapeutic, why not try it yourself sometime?
haven't left you some blog love in while {sorry, i'm lazy like that} so I thought I'd hop by since I caught this and it is a favorite from your recent work. It is a little of a depart from your usual layery style yet all the things we love are here. I love it so much. Those punched circles/squares from the for the record line and that gorgeous vellum/twine/flower element all on a die cut sheet. ahhh! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I bet this was really fun to put together! And your envelope is so pretty (and not even pink!).
ReplyDeleteI don't have any vellum in my stash, maybe I need to look for some....I had some when I first started out scrapbooking and I associate it with some bad purchases, you know that you make when you first start out...but there's no reason I can't give it a second chance, thanks!!!! I really adore this design, mixing the circles and squares. I also loveee that twine flower, how did you make that?!!!! Awesome page! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this! Would be fun to do with scraps! I like the envelope too.
ReplyDeleteLove this page SO much! I really like the grid design and all the little elements and the hidden but just visible letter. The title made me laugh as I have had that song on my brain non stop for days! I even had to show Ellie it on Youtube as I couldn't remember all the lyrics :)
ReplyDeleteLove letters...great PAGE!!! Go you!!!
