April Counterfeit Kit Challenge member blog hop

Welcome to this month's Counterfeit Kit Challenge member blog hop.

You should have arrived here via Julene but if you've landed here directly, you might want to go back to the beginning of the hop at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog so that you don't miss a thing.

This month we were given the following challenges to choose from:

Challenge #1 - Blog Design Challenge: Use the blog design from one of the Master Forgers as inspiration for your project.
Challenge #2 - Pocket Page Inspiration: Make a pocket page card (3x4 or 4x6) the star of your project.
Challenge #3 - BIG Title: Use a large title (or sentiment) on your project.

I've been a bad scrapper recently and this month's kit is practically untouched so it was good to be challenged to get it off the shelf and cut into it. I decided to go with challenge #3 - big titles.

I had included five different alphas in my April kit, Growth, and managed to use 4 of them here on this page. Three of those are relatively large so that fitted the challenge requirements. And then I made the title so long that I didn't need to add any journalling. I reckon that also fits the BIG title theme, don't you?

I had these six Instax prints from a family visit last year where the quality isn't really good enough for of the photos to be used alone. By grouping them all together into one block, you just get the impression of the evening and the overall feeling is conveyed.

A sprinkling of embellishments across the page in three places for my visual triangle and I was done. It didn't quite kick-start an outpouring of creativity, but it did feel good to cut and glue some paper.

I'm hoping LOAD next month will get me back to my scrappy self!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you've found something to inspire you today. Here's the full list in case you got lost along the way.

Don't forget to share your creations using your Counterfeit kits or your response to the challenges on our Mr Linky page (here)

And just a reminder that on (Inter)National Scrapbook day/weekend, the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog and all the Master Forgers will be hosting their own event. There'll be two days of colour, inspiration and even some prizes to be won from some very generous sponsors. Make sure you drop by and join in the fun!

  1. 2 out of 3 - I was down for the company and cocktails, then you lost me. Fun page.

  2. I love the layered elements to your page, gorgeous, the big titles were definitely a hit this month!

  3. A beautiful layout Lisa, love the colours and the frames.
All those alphas - well done on using them up :)

  4. Cocktails and asparagus.I'll bet that's the first scrap layout with that title (LOL). Your clusters are fabulous as is the whole layout. A great way to do your title too.

  5. Saved the best 'til last, Lisa. Love the layout of the photo's to tell the story and you're right no journalling required with this title!

  6. Love both the title and the colours on this layout :)
Hope you are feeling scrappy again soon!

  7. Super cute layout and I'll have to keep that design in mind when I have a lot of pictures like that. I think the combination is great too

  8. The textures and frames the design colors and photos! Like Maggie said.... saved the "best" for last! I should have gone to bed but just studied and studied your techniques at 1 am!

  9. Fabulous page - I love the layers, the fresh colour combo and all the different alphas - and what an intriguing title ..... :o)

  10. So glad I am not alone this month in tearing into my kit...was inspired by your embell clusters (in fact, I KNOW Ihave those PPframes hoarded somewhere)

  11. Well, I think the inclusion of asparagus in the title might warrant a little bit of journalling! Love the look of the grouped photographs and the way that your embellishments frame them nicely! x

  12. LOL @ your title - a lovely page and a great start with your fab kit.

  13. Beautiful layout, love the frames and the polaroid photos !

  14. I absolutely adore your layout! Love the product choices and what awesome embellishments! The grid design with the Instax prints is fabulous! I should play along next month with the CKC. I've always felt a bit intimidated by it. But sometimes I do my best work when I feel a bit uncomfortable. . . .

  15. stunning Lisa, absolutely stunning.

I love comments! Thanks for taking the time. <3 <3 <3
