Here to share my makes with the January Scrapabilly kit featuring papers and embellishments from the BasicGrey Typeset collection.
Here's the gorgeous kit photo showing 9 papers from the collection as well as a page of stickers, clear Memorandum Pink Paisley stickers, mini Little B washi tape, 2 lengths of twine, a polka dot paper bag, a doily, a pretty handful of sequins, black Thickers and matching cardstock including a sheet of grey woodgrain patterned.
Here's my first layout channeling a little Shimelle with the diagonal stripe border around the edge and blocked paper! I definitely could have used at least two sheets of that stripe paper - loved it so much and the other side was a really lovely mint green. For this, I added some grey October Afternoon mini market letter stickers (like these but in another colour) and some mini BasicGrey alphas (I have some older ones but these are almost identical). Oh and of course, a little gold mist of course (see here).
More loopy twine on this layout as well as a batch of fussy cut flowers. I love it when I see that there are some papers with patterns that can be cut out and used individually - often instead of the collection die-cuts. I usually spend half an our or so cutting a whole batch of them right at the beginning of working with the kit so that I have them ready to go when I need them.
I headed back to one of my favourite designs with the block of layered papers along the bottom third line and then used a handful of my fussy cut piece to decorate the opposite corners which provided the perfect space for the journalling.
I scattered a few sequins amongst my flowers to add a little extra something.
A little reminder that you can always get your own kit over at the Scrapabilly shop and find more inspiration for using your stash in the Design Team gallery.
I was looking at some old LOAD galleries the other day & SO enjoyed your pages again! These put me in mind of those with all the fussy - cut bits :D Love the happiness on your face on your quick jaunt to the shore. And I sure do envy you those FAB Scrapabilly kits!
ReplyDeleteReally lovely pages, I always love your way with twine.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the twine in that first layout - love the loops on the banner and the way you wrapped it around one of your photo mats. Beautiful job with the flowers on your second page and the black letters really pop too. I also like the two patterned paper strips at the top. Looks like it was a relaxing (but cold) day!
