Jingle Belles are determined to stretch me with their challenges, that's for sure.
You will know that my scrapping style is throw as much onto a page as I possibly can including several pretty papers from my never dwindling stash.
Well, I'd like to make cards like that too.
But this week's challenge #18, Cardstock Christmas suggested by Jess Moyer was to use only cardstock and embellishments. Gulp.
So, I kept it simple, using some pretty SEI elements onto a plain white background and a silver CC rub on for my title. And called it done!
So yes, it is possible. Just don't ask me to do it again!
Lisa this is GORGEOUS! It is so serene and peaceful, I love it! As always you totally rocked the challenge!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly can, you've just proved it. What a beautiful card such a lovely colour combo.xxxx
ReplyDeletei know, i know! it's *HARD* to leave all those pretty papers in their files and just concentrate on cardstock & embellies... i, for one, felt a serious TWINGE!!! ...but... i really LOVE the card i had to "work for"... and i think you must be pretttttttty darned proud of this one, as well! ♥BRILLIANT♥!!! (but yeah... next week... PAPERS GALORE, lol!!!) :)
ReplyDeleteLovely work! Definitely one of the challenging challenges for us:)
ReplyDeleteSo peaceful and magical ...I think you could certainly do it again :^) ... lovely holiday card ... so glad you joined our jingle belles fun.
ReplyDeletehi, popped over from flickr LOAD blog roll. This card is so pretty. love the whiteness
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Lisa. I love the vintage feel this has!
ReplyDeleteYou rocked this challenge! I love this card in its simplicity yet great dimension and detail at the same time. Fabulous :)
ReplyDeletePretty. I still have half a package of those same SEI embellishments! You just never fail to WOW me with talent.
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty, yes, you have proven that a card can be beautiful without pretty paper!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! Love the scene you created.
ReplyDeleteI love the dimension! It is getting a bit odd seeing these Christmas cards as we get near to summer, but still worth the eye-candy :) I'll be looking forward to more wintery cards when it's hot, maybe they'll cool me down. (I know, I'm cheesy.)
ReplyDeletethis is stunning i'm just getting more and more jealous that you're getting all these cards done!!!
